Media
M-Tech sells a wide range of ampoule media manufactured by Whatman U.S. Inc. for membrane filtration applications. Routinely available in this range are:
- m-green yeast & mould
- m-Endo coliform medium
- Total count medium + TTC
- Cetrimide Pseudomonas broth
- Membrane lauryl sulphate broth
Also available are a range of Nutrient Pad sets (NPS) which consist of sterile cellulose pads impregnated with dehydrated culture media which is reconstituted by the addition of sterile water immediately before use. Nutrient pads (NPs) are used in combination use with membrane filtration technique.
The pads are made of biologicaly inert cellulose cardboard that does not bind the nutrient medium chemically but simply acts as a reservoir for the reconstituted liquid medium and a pysical support for the filter membrane. They are supplied individually packed in Petri dishes with a shelf life at room temperature of at least one year.
