Industial Use Biological Indicators
Substrate material and size of BIs is a concern for Medical Device and Parenteral manufacturers. Responding to their input, Raven Biological Laboratories now provides several unique biological indicators specifically intended for development and validation studies by manufacturers. These BIs are not intended for hospital use.
Several types of industrial use BIs are available, including:
- Suspensions
- Steri-Chart
- Peroxi-Discs
- Speciality BIs, including:
"Designer BIs" can be manufactured by Raven to meet specific client needs. Raven can provide innoculated carriers of your designation packaged in different materials. For example: various filter paper and plastic coupons, borosilicate paper, flame sealed ampoules, and aluminium strips.
Certification
Raven's speciality BIs are certified for population and species. Steam, dry heat, hydrogen peroxide and ethylene oxide resistance studies may be available or performed for specific items. Samples can be provided so the user may determine if the product is suitable for their particular use.
Lab Services
Raven performs steam, EO and dry heat resistance sudies, organism ID and population verification on innoculated product, coupons or competitor's products.
